Haydn Fairbanks graduated with
a Bachelor of Business Degree in Accounting and
Marketing Management in 1992 from UNE NR.
After founding and building the Newcastle
Warehouse Club and staff privileges club business from
1992 to 1993, Haydn moved to Melbourne in 1993 to open
and manage Heringtons' Melbourne (a sales incentive
and rewards marketing business specialising in the club
and hotel industry). Managing 120 rewards programs,
clients included Tabcorp, Austotels, Collingwood, Nth
Melbourne, Hawthorn, Fitzroy and Footscray Football Clubs as well as Caulfield, Mooney Valley,
Sandown and Flemington racing clubs.
In
1997 Haydn took a sales role with
Unilever Australasia. He progressed through sales and category management
in various roles across 4 years, was president and
re-launched the company social club and was awarded Unilever Employee of the Year in
2002.
After
Unilever, Haydn moved back into marketing and rewards
with Australia's largest marketing
company, Pinpoint, where he managed and developed
customer rewards programs for a database of over 3.2
million credit cardholders for companies including HMV,
MBF, AGL, Bupa Health and Retravision.
Haydn has since worked on contracts for MBF, NRMA and
American Express member benefits programs.
In November 2003, Haydn
launched the Rewards Club concept aimed at building
Australia's leading staff discount card.
